Products developed for the tracking of forklifts and similar moving equipment have the potential to provide significant benefits to facilities in terms of increased productivity, but Forklift Tracking Applications, which are introduced to the market without fully testing product-market compatibility or clearly understanding customer expectations, have often caused some misconceptions and myths among customers. We have compiled 6 myths that have emerged in the market and how we broke these myths with Forkwise.

Myth 1. Forklift Tracking Applications are Only Suitable for Businesses with a High Number of Forklifts.
Even businesses that operate a small number of forklifts can save money through tracking. For example, a business that operates 10 forklifts may be able to handle its current workload with 8 forklifts through increased efficiency. In another example, if a business wants to increase the number of forklifts or similar mobile equipment, it can make this decision in line with current performance data. On the other hand, a diesel forklift truck that idles for 1 hour unnecessarily can cause unnecessary fuel consumption of 125 liters per year, increase maintenance costs or decrease production performance. With Forkwise, you can obtain movement, idle, load, battery/battery, location and operator-based performance reports of your equipment and track all these data hourly/daily/weekly/monthly.
Small businesses can increase their profits by maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste, even if they do not aim to grow.
Myth 2. Forklift Tracking Products are Costly and Complex to Implement
There are multiple Forklift Tracking Apps to choose from according to your budget. Forkwise does not require the installation of an infrastructure and the cost of implementation is quite low compared to competing products. The product interfaces are very easy to use as they are constantly updated in line with the feedback received from customers. After a short 1-hour training after installation, it can be used by our customers without the need for additional training.
Myth 3. Forklift Tracking Apps Only Provide Location Tracking
Most Forklift Tracking Apps offer Location Tracking at the forefront. In addition to location tracking, Forkwise offers data analytics with detailed performance and usage analysis. In addition, customized manager-based reporting analytics for forklifts are also available to support a proactive approach.
Myth 4. Implementing Forklift Tracking in the Enterprise Requires Long Setup Times
This myth may apply to Forklift Tracking applications that require infrastructure installation. But Forkwise does not require an infrastructure installation. It is designed to be plug&play so that the installation time per forklift is less than 15 minutes. In this way, a fleet of 30 forklifts can be easily commissioned in an 8-hour shift.
Myth 5. Forklift Tracking Applications Cannot Be Applied to All Brands and Models
This myth may be valid in applications that perform tracking with sensors integrated into the canbus or mainboard of forklifts. Forkwise works with independent sensors that only receive electrical energy from forklifts. In this way, in addition to providing forklift brand / model independence, it can also be applied to stackers such as pallet trucks, reach trucks, dollies, jets, turret trucks, etc.
Myth 6. Tracking Applications Cannot Be Used on Rental Forklifts
As mentioned in Myth 5, Forkwise does not interfere with the forklift's mainboard and canbus, its only works with stand-alone sensors that only require electrical power. The integration of Forkwise sensors into the truck is technically no different from installing a light bulb on the truck. Thanks to this technical convenience, approval can be easily obtained from forklift rental companies.
